Today the 22 year old returns with the premiere of the video.

The self-produced ‘Slow Your Ropes’ was written in DeBe’s bedroom back in 2018. Having created music since the age of 13, DeBe explains why he’s attracted to creating sonics, saying, “I make music for the passion. I never focused on being ‘The Guy’. I’ve always done it for the moment, I just love to create vibes.” Directed by Isus Williams, the video sees him exploring the streets of his hometown and spitting in his home studio via a fisheye lens.

Using a moniker that originates from his teenage days as a graffiti artist, DeBe was born in Kingsthorpe, Northampton, but spent his early years moving around. Not just a rapper, DeBe is a songwriter, singer and a producer, with a variety of inspirations, including Nas, Roll Deep, Erykah Badu and John Legend. In addition to rap, RnB and grime, he’s equally inspired by garage and dubstep.
