B Young broke through the scene towards the end of 2017 with his huge single ”Jumanji.” Now back with his summer 18′ single ”079ME”, B Young is proving himself to be one to watch with his effortless melodies. We caught up with the Hackney native and learnt a bit more about Mr Jumanji himself.

Tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is B Young I am from the East Side of London, Hackney.
If you had to give a name or a genre to the style of music you make, what would it be called?
Good vibes
What inspires you to make music?
I take inspiration from everything, I’ve just always been a musical person for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up surrounded by a huge variety of music from different cultures. No limitations.

There’s a lot of melody in all your music. How do you go about actually creating your music? Is it Melody first then lyrics?
Yes. I almost always record melodies first before writing the lyrics to fit.
If you weren’t doing music right now what would you be doing?
I would be trying to do music. I couldn’t and wouldn’t want to imagine myself doing anything else.
What are your goals and aspirations for the next 18 months?
I want to keep releasing singles and keep giving the people bangers then when the timing is right, maybe drop an album.
