[STYLE] GUCCI LOOKS TO PARIS FOR ITS SS18 SHOW
Alessandro Michele has announced that he will be taking his anticipated Gucci SS18 show to Paris for the Italian fashion house’ next season.
In the driver’s seat of Gucci, designer Alessandro Michele’s Gucci AW18 show had left him with the perhaps, admired title of fashion’s mad scientist after seeding its well-executed cast of models down its runway holding several heads.
The show saw wondrous designs fill the audience with a cross between surprise and attraction. The models carried an identical head waxwork of him/herself as an accessory which is a bold surprise, open minded, a new Gucci. “Doing my job [is] a strange path…in my mind at least, I have a scientific and clinic clarity on what I do.” told Alessandro to WWD. The attraction had laid within the collection. Traditional French floral prints, modernistic formal wear, firm blazers featuring Major League Baseball team New York Yankees embroidered emblem. This youthful embrace is merged alongside references to the traditional Gucci, the Gucci that overwhelms its audience with its intriguing silhouettes and statement graphics
“They are heartfelt places, which have a lot of meaning to me. Nothing is accidental.” – Alessandro Michele
The upcoming Gucci Cruise 2019 show to be held in Arles, France and now the designer is moving the SS19 show to France. The exciting SS19 show will be hosted from an unspecified location in Paris and will also see co-ed fashion – featuring Alessandro Michele’s latest menswear and womenswear pieces.
