London Streetwear Label Unknown Deliver “The Worldwide Leaders” Spring/Summer ’18 Collection

The brand that’s catching the attention of London’s new gen creatives in its thousands, Unknown London release their Spring/Summer ’18 collection titled “The Worldwide Leaders” after previewing teasers of the anticipated look-book on their social media accounts.

The captivating collection explores the significance of uniform and reaches for inspiration from early vintage military archives for a tactical approach to deliver attractive streetwear for the brands rapidly growing number of loyal followers.

The Spring/Summer line makes use of a standout colour palette of an alarming yellow, balanced with black and white throughout the 15 piece collection and to add, the look-book is modelled by the brands extensive cool-kid friend list. Chock-full of must-have pieces, the spring collection consists of a tech jacket that features a cross body strap and safety buckle laid elegantly over a stylish kangaroo pouch anorak, tactical combat vests and a set of ergonomic crewnecks with strap detailing to be styled with an equally appealing pair of tech tracksuit bottoms.

Thought that was all? Wrong. Unknown has also included three timeless hooded jumpers titled the “Moon-landing Hoodie” in which plucks inspiration from Unknown’s interests in astronomy and the magical information gathered by organisations such as NASA – feeding the brands curiosity and creative thought. Exercising their research by delivering unconventional street fashion, Unknown applies a real-life New York Times headline from Neil Armstrong’s moon landing in 1967, reinterpreted as a comical graphic backprint. The imagery is situated near a first-hand communication computer coding print between the spacecraft’s Apollo 11 and NASA’s space station, seen located across the front and side panels.

The leading streetwear brand had teamed up with A$AP TyY on a previous collection that grabbed both immense UK and stateside attention. With a prestigious reputation to live up to, this refreshing summer collection is arguably the Unknown boys’ best collection to date. What are your thoughts?
