Joy Division, New Order & Blade Runner.
Obsessed with the revolutionary spirit of the youth and it’s culture, admirable designer Raf Simons delivers us a new collection from his Spring/Summer Blade-runner atmospheric runway show that surpassed expectations when walked last July in Brooklyn, NYC. The runway show itself made its mark amongst an oriental, futuristic rave space that was to be said by Raf, that he’d taken inspiration for his show interior from the 1982 Ridley Scott film, Blade Runner.
The new Spring/Summer collection dropped this week and caused a worldwide urgency for the uncountable numbers of Raf Simons patrons. With Raf building an ever extending and astonishing legacy, the present Calvin Klein artistic director focuses on his rooted infatuation with youth for his namesake Spring/Summer 2018 collection and has been dubbed to have created this repetitive affair of reference. The collection includes the distinguishable T-shirts with New Order plastered graphics and ‘Unknown Pleasures’ Peter Saville artwork from English Rock sensations Joy Division, printed on a reworked black hooded jumper with unquestionably Raf Simons silver stud grasp and a detachable panel. There is an alternative hooded jumper available, a black hoodie with its classic design text across the front and back. In addition to the wished-for collection, Raf showcases the Black “Replicants” zipped Parka in which when positioned in the lower back delivers a still image from the 1982 Blade Runner.
