[STYLE] SUPREME X UNDERCOVER X PUBLIC ENEMY

  • Hip-Hop Nostalgia From The Three Way Collaboration.

You heard the rumours, saw the leaked images on Instagram and yes, It’s for real. Not shy to join forces with the biggest and smallest names in fashion, Supreme drop an iconic joint collection with Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER and 80’s hip-hop royalty Public Enemy ahead of Spring/Summer 2018. Supreme, UNDERCOVER and Public Enemy have all pioneered in their own rights and have linked arms to deliver a stunning collaboration that will no doubt cause a chaotic episode at the Supreme flagship stores.

With the three prestigious names obtaining a similar and most certainly loyal fan base, the collection prominently focuses on the rap groups important “Fear Of A Black Planet” album that reached its 28 year anniversary last Saturday. It was Public Enemy’s third album release and includes renowned tracks like “Fight The Power” and “Revolutionary Generation“. The 1990 album explored empowerment from the black community and criticised white supremacy throughout with its controversial and button pushing lyrics. In harmony, Supreme are no strangers when it comes to designing immensely appealing street fashion and is partial to play a role in press criticism too, this is backed up by its self-explanatory “Fuck You, We Do What We Want” graphic t-shirts.

The spring drop has an array of must-have pieces and not to mention the UNDERCOVER signature accessories and footwear appearance by Dr Martens. The collection includes a range of loud outerwear gems with the album artwork masked all over. Key items from the collection consist of a casual black or navy cotton coach jacket, graphic print Parka’s, Puffa Gilets & jackets, colourful t-shirts, hoods and tracksuits. A selection of three buttoned shirts with matching pants is perfect for the summer wardrobe alongside a Dr Martens shoe that also found space amongst the 51 piece collection leaving you spoilt for choice. In the accessories division showcases a larger than life “Fear Of The Black Planet” Rug, 14K-Gold necklaces with engraved branded detailing and the signature UNDERCOVER coin purses featuring the recognisable Public Enemy Target.

     Supreme x UNDERCOVER x Public Enemy SS18

A disclaimer notice has been given and with this exclusive collection, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union. So get down to the London, Brooklyn, Grand Ave, L.A and Paris flagship stores to get yourself some Hip-Hop unites streetwear history this March, 15th.
