The Spring/Summer season has now arrived on fashion’s calendar. If you rewind back to the Spring/Summer runway shows and campaigns, you will finally be able to get your hands on all of your anticipated pieces. Designers and brands have begun to flood our Instagram feeds and city billboards with new goods, looks, and styles ready for the Spring and Summer season. Today commencing will see a wave of newness from your most cherished designer labels.
Raf Simons x Fred Perry Spring/Summer 2018
To add to the list of the spring season drop list is a revisited collaboration with Belgian designer Raf Simons and sportswear icon Fred Perry. The new range of Raf meets Fred cloth consists an array of reinvented Pique polo shirts with a two-tone touch adding exclusivity to the already appealing polo model. Pullover hoods with drawstrings that arrived in a set of filled black or white can also be appropriately placed in the spring wardrobe of every right-minded Fred Perry follower.
A casual selection of lightweight jersey cotton t-shirts was made available also. The t-shirts have entered the season in a black, orange, white and cadet blue. All t-shirts have a taped detailing strapped to the left chest and Raf Simons x Fred Perry wreath making the T-shirt a non-negotiable supplement to the norm. The highlighted piece of the collection had to be a firmly resting and casual, taped detailed and all black workwear jacket with an originally placed Raf Simons x Fred Perry Wreath on the left chest and cap buttons trailing down the middle. Supreme New York Spring/Summer Pt.1
Supreme New York release their first Spring/summer drop of the year. Hypebeats, brand patriots and London’s fashion followers purged upon Soho to be the first in line at the Peter St store. Supreme and it’s London home has been the epicenter of London’s streetwear fashion for certainly every Thursday of every season since its European beginning in 2011. Its popularity remains to soar as does its drop day queues of supreme hungry customers with hopes of picking up the new goods before it sells out.
The pieces in this seasons anticipated first drop includes the quilted patent vinyl work jacket (Red & Black), brown faux fur repeater bomber, Orange Nylon turnout jacket, neon green lambskin leather pile skull bomber sold in a hooded form also, “Illegal business controls America” and Chicken Dinner hoods, a range of the new season cotton graphic t-shirts and accessories consisting of two skateboard decks either to be put to use at the Southbank centre or to be hung up on a wall to admire. Liam Hodges x Fila
Household Italian sportswear brand Fila collaborate with truly British menswear designer, Liam Hodges on a range of apparel and footwear for Hodges’ Spring/Summer 18 collection. Liam Hodges and his brand have seen immense support since his debut collection for Fashion East, later gaining a Topman endorsed MAN show for three seasons and is now under his prestigious NEWGEN sponsorship after hosting showrooms and runway shows in the BFC show space earlier this January. Its up and away from the London based menswear designer.
The collaboration was first showcased being flaunted down the runway at the designers London Fashion Week Mens AW18 show on the Strand. The anticipated collection incorporates three-way colour blocking, a rinsed selection of burgundy, olive, navy and grey colour palettes and pinstriped detailing on its sweaters, polos, t-shirts and tracksuit pants. The footwear aspect of the collection was an element that caused a storm amongst the runway show goers, bloggers, and press. The Fitness OG silhouette is seen with an all gum sole and a grey, burgundy and olive base hues on a choice of suede or leather base. Noah NYC Spring/Summer 2018
New York City’s Noah brand starts the spring season on a playful note channeling the fashion popular element of youth culture throughout its lookbook, the lookbook features cool kids taking on Spring with a statement. Longsleeve Rugby like polo shirts with an assortment of primarily horizontal striped aesthetics, pastel short shorts, graphic tees, lightweight quarter-zip plaid shirts, paisley print trousers, athletic two pieced sportswear goods, thick jersey cotton hoods, cardigans, sophisticated blazers and suit trousers in pastel pink and off-white. In the stateside casualwear brand, its accessory realm showcases traditional and soft coloured caps and bucket hats with it’s branding across the front and a practical zippo lighter. Champion For Wood Wood
Copenhagen’s Wood Wood team up with athletic wear winners, Champion on another capsule collaboration for their Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Neither brands have been whistled to the side bench or given a red card as a result of this capsule, the collection has been influenced by the phrases and feelings received when viewing sports. Statement phrases cover “Business”, “Drama”, “Magic”,”Mayhem”, “Noise” and more can be seen plastered across a collection consisting of warm and two-toned long sleeves, sweaters and hoodies. All with that certified Champion Quality and “C.W.W” abbreviated stamp of Spring approval. The collection is available in all Wood Wood stores now.
424 x SJ x Alpha Industries
Influenced primarily on military outerwear and it’s aesthetic and functionality laying central, Guillermo Andrade of 424 on Fairfax incorporates punk visuals into his three party collaboration of revisited fashion chronicales with a military approach. The recognised 424 vibrant red armband has a youthful, uneasiness stigma now it’s received a punk interpretation merged with a post war focus. The fitting title of “The army green capsule” consisting of the famous Alpha Industries bomber jackets, Parka’s, Military Kimono, field jackets and distressed trousers. Tomorrow will see the arrival of the Converse x A$AP Nast One Star shoe and Nike x OVO Jordan 8 in black and white both finished gold trimming. Nike continues to release fresh goods including enticingly new colorways of the Nike Air Max ’98, Zoom Spiridon and a bright Foamposite appearance.
