Nicopanda launches onto the London Fashion Week schedule under the Creative Direction of Nicola Formichetti for the brand’s debut runway show for Spring/Summer 2018.  Taking inspiration from the tribes teenagers find themselves falling in and out of during high school, Nicola revisited his favourite coming-of-age films such as Dazed and Confused, The Breakfast Club and Jawbreaker focusing on the cliques these films highlight- the Jocks, The Preps, The Punks and the Prom Queen- to set the look and mood of his new collection.

“Team N.F” varsity motifs embellish fleece uniforms with miniature ruffles masquerading as sporty-stripes in the “Formichetti” track-and-field section. Hot pink and lilac tulle are box pleated in a nod to classic school uniforms and prom dresses alike. Preppy cotton pique is mashed up with punk badges and chain wallets showcased on baby doll silhouettes emblazoned with rebellious “Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die” graphic treatments. The whole collection is bound by the Nicopanda high-low aesthetic marrying hard and soft, boy and girl, dark and light – a true reflection of the non-gendered eclecticism of the Nicopanda community.

Nicopanda has collaborated with Amazon Fashion in a world-first advancement to the see-now-buy-now concept, creating a see-now-Prime-now capsule collection which will also be shown during the Spring/Summer ’18 runway show and available across Europe (UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain) for One Day delivery and within selected postcodes in both London and Milan for One Hour Prime Now delivery straight from the catwalk (See last 6 looks from the runway). Nicola Formichetti and Nicopanda are synonymous with digital innovation- this partnership is no exception – from the catwalk, to the customer and out onto the street in a matter of hours.
