Artist: Kojey Radical
Project: In God’s Body
London’s very own Kojey Radical; poet, rapper and wordsmith, blessed this fall with ‘In God’s Body’, his EP follow up from 2016’s project, 23WINTERS and boy does he deliver his most complete body of work and favourably lyrically visual project to date. This 13-track EP sees Kojey Radical feature the likes of rapper Ghetts on ‘Mood’, the talented Miloh Smith on ‘Windows’ and even Shola Ama on track, ‘Icarus’.
Kojey Radical sways between hard-hitting rap to chanting spoken word all over the project, dipping through various cultural undertones and genres of expressive sound, typical of his background in poetry. Despite his often hard-to-define music, Kojey Radical puts together a project reminiscent of the politics of the old school, unequivocally diverse and unlike most music you hear today.
With this project, ‘In God’s Body’, Kojey Radical has assembled a project that reflects his growth and strengths as an artist — hazy but also intentional – Hip-Hop that illustrates his perspectives in the most uncanny and wonderful ways. Get listening.
