[TOP 5’S] PHOTOS OF RAPPERS WITH ANIMALS
By Lily Mercer
Separately, rappers and animals are two of my favourite things so it seemed right to combine the two for Viper’s first ever Top 5’s list. This new series is a way for Viper to showcase the five favourite things of our friends, family and collaborators. The more obscure their choices, the better. Without further ado, here are my top five photos of rappers with animals.
*Disclaimer, these aren’t real animals* I know that technically these are toys but as they’re shaped like animals, I figured I’d include them on the list. Though it’s unfortunate that Fiddy had to end up in hospital for this picture to be in existence, used this photo as the silver lining. I appreciate the person that bought him the teddy bears and would like a print of this for my house.
This photo is very inspirational for me because I aspire to be Dame Dash at this point of life. One day. Though I admit, I’ll probably upgrade the chihuahua to a larger variety of dog, I hope I can one day unroll my car window and proudly display my dog to the world.
I’ll be honest with you, I really wanted to include Sisqo and the Siberian Tiger from the ‘Incomplete’ video but I didn’t think his verse on ‘Thong Song’ made him enough of a rapper for it to count. Instead I chose this perfect photo of Ja Rule clutching two Labrador puppies. Look how happy he looks.
I don’t think I really need to explain why this photo is fucking amazing, or why I chose it. But in case I do, this is a photo of Biggie HOLDING A PANTHER on a lead. Wow. He’s also wearing a suit, I feel like you’re not supposed to be any more dressed down than this in the presence of a panther.
Mike Tyson + Eartha Kitt
Ok, neither of these humans are rappers but it’s fair to say they’re loved and appreciated by many in the hip hop world. Plus the combination of two very different varieties of cat is what made it essential that I include these on my list.
And just in case you were curious about the Sisqo and the Siberian Tiger from the ‘Incomplete’ video, here it is…
